New levels!
Added the puppy!
This was my original idea for a character to shake up gameplay. The puppy tracks you constantly through darkness and light and is faster than you when it runs. This enemy will force players to make riskier moves to keep their distance.
Why don't I like this enemy?
I think this enemy is interesting in theory, but It struggles in an actual level. Since it constantly follows the player, placing it in a level is difficult. The puppy is a huge roadblock, so I had to make the levels accommodate. In the puppy's introduction, I gave the player a large room to dodge the puppy, but I don't like adding these designated "dodge zones". It works well in the introduction because the player learns quickly that the puppy is slow (and will find out that it runs later) In another level, I added tension by placing the puppy in a small hallway behind the player. This makes the puppy shine! I won't remove the previous "dodge zones" because it fits the levels but it still bothers me.
